Sleep Specialists in North Texas

You Deserve More Than a Better Night’s Sleep

Poor sleep affects much more than how you feel the next morning. Untreated sleep disorders can affect your energy, concentration, mood, relationships, and overall health.

At Dallas Sleep Health, we look beyond the symptoms to understand why you aren’t sleeping well.

Whether you need a sleep study, CPAP therapy, an oral appliance, medication, or another treatment option, our physicians will help you understand your choices and determine the approach that’s right for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

We evaluate and treat a broad range of sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, insomnia, excessive daytime sleepiness, restless legs syndrome, and other conditions that interfere with healthy sleep.

Not everyone needs the same type of testing. Depending on your symptoms and medical history, your physician may recommend a home sleep apnea test or an overnight sleep study in a sleep center.

Not necessarily. CPAP is an excellent treatment for many patients, but other options may be appropriate depending on the severity and type of sleep apnea, your anatomy, medical history, and ability to tolerate CPAP.

Some patients may be candidates for alternatives such as custom oral appliance therapy or hypoglossal nerve stimulation. Weight management can also play an important role for appropriate patients.

Weight and obstructive sleep apnea are often closely related. Weight loss can improve sleep apnea in some patients, and for appropriate individuals, medically supervised weight management may be incorporated into an overall treatment plan.

If you regularly snore, experience pauses in breathing during sleep, wake up gasping, have persistent daytime fatigue, or struggle with chronic insomnia, a sleep evaluation may help determine whether an underlying sleep disorder is contributing to your symptoms.
